The project “The Bridge of Books Connecting Japan to the World” is a project which includes many foreign students, or individuals, who used to be foreign students in Japan, presenting their home countries and becoming a bridge between their countries, Japan and the rest of the world. The first book of the collection is written by a Slovenian author presenting the abundant nature, beautiful townscape and literature of Slovenia. It also includes different episodes from her life in Japan, from meeting Japanese people to eating habits. 

At present point, in 2018, there are approximately 267.000 foreign students living in Japan. All of them were attracted by something about Japan, so they decided on pursuing their studies here. What kinds of places did they come from, what were the environments they lived in back in their home countries? And what became the reason for their initial interest and their consequential moving to Japan? What kinds of things did they experience, what are their thoughts and feelings about Japan? They tell us of the important individuals who founded their countries, of those who worked hard to preserve peace and those who helped the advancement of the economy of their countries, while also introducing the charming spots, culture and their way of living.
